MoseySusan Posted November 10, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 10, 2018 We’d been taking #2 son to the gym as part of his health and community access goals for over a year while the home weights and bench gathered dust. So, I sold the home set up, except our yoga stuff and pull up bar that’s installed in the garage. And it’s Naughty Poop Oyster.
Randomguy Posted November 10, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted November 10, 2018 I always wonder about home gyms and usage. There is something about stepping away to a gym to helps motivate, a place and a connotation. Pull-up bars are wonderful, I want one eventually. Road Runner Posted November 10, 2018 Share #4 Posted November 10, 2018 I have done both, home and gym. I prefer to have my own stuff at home. I don't need to go to a gym for motivation. Actually, that was less motivating for me because I had to get dressed and drive there and back, as opposed to just walking into the other room and start lifting. I love my home gym stuff, but I am currently unable to use a lot of it due to my bad shoulder. I need an operation but I keep putting it off. Three times a week for weights and the arc trainer. I put on headphones, cue up a raeggeton station, and have a party for an hour.
Longjohn ★ Posted November 10, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 10, 2018 I bought a home gym when my gym closed. I used it for seven years until they built a world class gym five miles up the road from me. I’ve been going to the new gym for 14 years. The home gym is still in one of the bedrooms, it would have to be disassembled to be moved and that’s a PITA.
