Airehead Posted July 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 29, 2020 Just got 300 new face shields. Price is down and quality is up. Hopefully you can see that this go around the head all the way to the wearer's ear. The also go down under the chin. These are made locally and cost about ten bucks each. We had been paying like 25 for ones that were poor quality and less coverage. PS--they are hot but my behavior therapists think they look like an item out of Star Wars so apparently they are also cool. 1
Prophet Zacharia Posted July 29, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 29, 2020 Bauer, the hockey company, is selling (either now or soon?) face shields integrated into a baseball cap. Less hot, I think, as more space between your mouth and the shield.

I would think the shield would protect both. Bottom line, I want to buy one of these. @Airehead link please.

If being able to see the wearer’s mouth is important, I agree.

maddmaxx ★ Posted July 29, 2020 Share #9 Posted July 29, 2020 Great item for teachers. I've seen some combo masks that have a clear shield above the nose but they are so close to the face as to be useless with glasses.

Kzoo Posted July 29, 2020 Share #11 Posted July 29, 2020 With a couple of colored Sharpies, this could be fun. Your teaches have colored Sharpies, right?

Yes, it is recommended at this time however our county health director asked to see this model. If it, in his opinion, adequately blocks the wearer's droplet a mask will be needed. Currently staff are wearing both. 56 minutes ago, Dottles said: I would think the shield would protect both. Bottom line, I want to buy one of these. @Airehead link please. Send me your address and I can mail you one. Then you can make a $9.94 cent donation to my school.
