Popular Post Dirtyhip Posted January 5, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted January 5, 2021 This little elderly lady has been very sick. My husband said she is this soft spoken little lady. When she saw him in her room, she said "You are the best nurse. You have taken such great care of me. I want to buy you lunch. There is this local place that has great food. I want to buy you their spicy cheeseburger. " Then she goes on to explain how it is prepared and how she wants to buy it for him. She says her friend is coming to visit and will pick up the lunch and bring it to him, cause he has helped her so much in the hospital. My husband tried to tell her no and then she says very forcefully "YOU SHUT UP!" He said the lunch was tasty. 6 8 6

All sweet and soft spoken, until you cross her. Then you better watch out.
Popular Post Kirby Posted January 5, 2021 Popular Post Share #4 Posted January 5, 2021 Being in the hospital can make people feel powerless and out of control. It probably made her feel good to be able to do something for someone who had been so nice to her. 2

How it is too spicy for her, but I bet he would like it. I asked him how his leftover fried rice was. Y'know, the one I sent him to work with. Then, he tells me he got a cheeseburger, but he had no choice in the matter. 2

Good health care workers are worth their weight in gold. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to send Jocelyn back to school to get her RN degree after we no longer need her. She would make an excellent nurse but she can’t afford to quit work and go back to school. I might be able to work something out, have to wait and see. 3

Try being in the hospital with your spouse at home unable to take care of herself or get out of bed. 1
