Popular Post Page Turner Posted November 6, 2016 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 6, 2016 ...there was a high surf advisory, so we walked back into the dunes. This was out at Point Reyes National Seashore, where they have a very ancient RCA radio facility, recently reopened by a bunch of local radio nerds. The building is from the 20's and there are a couple of antenna fields there that cover several acres. I think the current license is strictly Morse, which is kind of nifty, historically.
Caretaker Posted November 6, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 6, 2016 When I was a ship's radio officer back in the early 80s I was still using morse although satellite telex communication was starting to take over. dih dih dih dah dah dah dih dih dih

Some guy was dressed up to go surf casting (which I do sometimes) and I thought he was nuts.
