Randomguy Posted October 1, 2013 Share #1 Posted October 1, 2013 WoRG gets all concerned if the baby isn't producing lots of dark matter on demand, and waits to unleash it all in one big, scary coffee-stinky gooey mess. As I understand it, formula does this, and we are supplementing with this. What can we do, other than jiggle her stomach like I do?
Indy Posted October 1, 2013 Share #2 Posted October 1, 2013 I had the constipated kid, and the things that needed to be done wasn't a plesant experience for any of us.

jsharr ★ Posted October 1, 2013 Share #8 Posted October 1, 2013 Get dressed up in something expensive that stains easily. Get in your car and go to dinner at a nice place. Oh, and take the kid.
Indy Posted October 1, 2013 Share #9 Posted October 1, 2013 Babies only go every two to three days. As they get older, should be everyday. Abigail has poopy issues so we give her Mirolax with water as she would go three days and then scream when trying to pass a log. Graham was about the same, but our doctor was against laxatives and prefered the more natural methods. Dark Karo in a bottle is also supposed to help lossen them up.

Chris... Posted October 1, 2013 Share #11 Posted October 1, 2013 the problem with laxatives is that if it's bad constipation it just squirts around the hard poop.

jsharr ★ Posted October 1, 2013 Share #14 Posted October 1, 2013 Coffee and spicy greasy food make me poop. Have you considered huevos rancheros and a sippy cup of java?
Longjohn ★ Posted October 1, 2013 Share #15 Posted October 1, 2013 Babies only go every two to three days. As they get older, should be everyday. If you use Mirolax make sure you spell it right, you wouldn't want to use this on a baby

Road Runner Posted October 2, 2013 Share #18 Posted October 2, 2013 I'm unfamiliar with this problem. My kids never had any problems pooping that I know of. I come from a long line of excellent poopers.
