Further Posted November 25, 2021 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2021 I listened to Alice's Restaurant at noon, a Thanksgiving day tradition here. This really warmed my heart. Thank You, don
Longjohn ★ Posted November 25, 2021 Share #4 Posted November 25, 2021 I’ve played the Alice’s Restaurant massecree so many times I pretty much have it memorized. The newspaper forgot to tell about the 27 8X10 color glossy photographs. 1

My hair was about as long as his was in the movie when it came out. It got a lot longer by the time I had to go take my physical for the draft. But I didn’t go to Whitehall street, I went to Pittsburgh.
Bikeguy Posted November 26, 2021 Share #11 Posted November 26, 2021 I wonder... if Arlo works for FedEx now??? Hundreds of FedEx packages found in ravine in Alabama Police speculated that the packages were thrown into the valley, { OMG do ya think so.... } but hadn’t figured out why as of Thursday night. The ravine didn’t even have an address.
donkpow Posted November 26, 2021 Author Share #12 Posted November 26, 2021 Phone books are delivered by independent "contractors". When they are delivered, you'll see piles of them along the roads.

I drove all over the place delivering each and every one of them. I took my assignment seriously.

Were you supposed to give one to every house or only phone customers? That would make it more complicated. Back when we used to get phone books they would put them in plastic bags and hang them on the mail boxes. I noticed the Amish houses all got one.

I had a list of addresses to deliver to. This is way before cell phones, most people had landlines.
