petitepedal ★ Posted May 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted May 26, 2017 Should I lube the part that goes into the hitch?
Reverend_Maynard Posted May 26, 2017 Share #2 Posted May 26, 2017 Sounds like a personal question. I imagine that would be a good idea. Prevent the two parts from fusing together over time.
jsharr ★ Posted May 26, 2017 Share #3 Posted May 26, 2017 Not a bad idea.

Square Wheels Posted May 26, 2017 Share #5 Posted May 26, 2017 How tight is it? I had mine on most of the summer and never bothered. It is only put on for a day trip most of the time. I've never lubed it.

Lube is messy.

Just a thin film to keep the rust from forming. You can put it on and wipe most of it off with a rag. Don't slop grease on like most people do. Further Posted May 26, 2017 Share #9 Posted May 26, 2017 Vaseline will do just fine, a thin layer wiped on with a rag won't be messy and will hold off the rust.
