That is exactly what I was going to suggest.  It works really well on carpet and wood floors!

No and yes. Certainly have to be more careful with those 2 and many more variables. Hard to go wrong on tile.

You are the master on flooring Cheese.  Want to come up and retile my kitchen and entry?  Maybe backsplash too.  Just don't make a mess of the floor.
