bikeman564™ Posted April 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 12, 2020 Is mocha java from Biggby. I bought a bag of beans yesterday. It's a flavorful coffee w/ a slight nutty taste. Anywho, this is their description. Mocha Java - Mocha Java is the world's oldest blend. Mocha does not refer to chocolate, Mocha refers to Mokka, the ancient port city in Yemen. Coffee traders importing from the island of Java would blend their coffee with Yemen Mokka and ship it to Europe. This blend is the perfect balance of body and flavor, and it's the favorite of the founders of BIGGBY®. 2

onbike1939 Posted April 12, 2020 Share #3 Posted April 12, 2020 I'm not sure that I've tried this one....though I've tried most I think. Old brown java is my stand-by and this is how I start my day. I really should search for some Monsoon Malabar.....ages since I had it.

I occasionally order coffee from peets.com and they have an Arabian Mocha Java blend, for something like $17.95/lb, that is among the best coffees I have tasted!

dinneR ★ Posted April 12, 2020 Share #7 Posted April 12, 2020 Yemen Mocha is one of my favorite coffees along with Ethiopian Yirgacheffe. Try pronouncing that one properly. Yemen Mocha is known for it's chocolate(not sweet) flavor. So in the U.S. we created the cafe mocha, coffee with chocolate syrup.

groupw Posted April 12, 2020 Share #11 Posted April 12, 2020 We were out of beans when we got back from vacation. Just got some Caribou medium roast beans because the whole bean selection at LGS is not great. Just finishing them now. I’m picking up some Zabuni Bengwa medium roast tomorrow. Can’t wait!
