Popular Post Allen ★ Posted December 2, 2021 Popular Post Share #1 Posted December 2, 2021 [quote] I'm thinking I'd rather hear some details on @Allen various projects and neighborly hijinks.[\quote] Augh’ite. Yesterday I had an overnight shift where I was paid to sleep. Boss is having the warehouse’s lighting replaced, and for whatever reason the work was to be done overnight instead of civilized hours. The electrician did look a bit possum like. Anyhow, boss wanted someone on site. Told him I was going to stretch out on the couch in his office, watch Netflix and fall asleep. He said that was fine. I made him repeat it. Woke up at 6:00am, Possum was loading his truck, my work day is done. Stopped at Good Hope General Store for a biscuit. All they had left was some faux Jimmy Dean sausage, and some fried eggs, and Kraft singles stacked in the corner of a pan if you wanted to add an egg and cheese. Pass, got a coffee whose contents I tossed out the window on the way home. Got home and my friend Clayton was on my patio, fire already going in the pit. He had the day off, he wanted to buck up a tree down in the woods for firewood. Off to Tractor Supply for a new chain, bar oil, some raw hides for the dogs, and a Covid chew toy for Cicero. The tree is bucked, still need to haul it out. The rootball stood back up, that was cool, it made a proper flop sound when it slammed back down. May carve it into a bear or something. Now I’m contemplating lunch. Too late for a club and fries from Pot Luck, so I’m down to an overpriced ham and Swiss on rye from the bakery, or Moe’s. Probably going to be the ham and Swiss. The 40 something, really cute manager at Moe’s, who also really likes to flirt, is wearing an ankle monitor. She scares me—ham sandwich. 2 1 1

Longjohn ★ Posted December 2, 2021 Share #3 Posted December 2, 2021 When you said you got a Covid toy I was wondering what you meant and then I saw the picture. Lol.
Allen ★ Posted December 2, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted December 2, 2021 The bakery was out of rye. Had my sandwich on sour instead. And I got a Mexican coke over extruded eating ice. Pasta salad side.

Parr8hed Posted December 3, 2021 Share #6 Posted December 3, 2021 Great pics. Sourdough is far superior to rye anyhow.
donkpow Posted December 3, 2021 Share #7 Posted December 3, 2021 Rye bread has an interesting history. By its nature, rye is a very hardy plant that will grow under most weather conditions. Rye bread was a staple in the European 'middle ages'. Anywhere in the northern temperate zones.
