donkpow Posted April 6, 2022 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2022 V-8 vegetable juice is, in theory, good for you except for the salt. I buy the low sodium variety but the flavor is a little bleak. So my lunch time treat is prepared with celery seed, black pepper, tabasco, and occasionally Worcestershire sauce. That's how we do it here in the abbey.
Page Turner Posted April 6, 2022 Share #2 Posted April 6, 2022 ...I buy the cheap knock off stuff, from Trader Joe's. I only drink it in the summer, though.
maddmaxx ★ Posted April 6, 2022 Share #3 Posted April 6, 2022 I like the hot and spicy V8 but it is salty to the extreme.
MoseySusan Posted April 6, 2022 Share #4 Posted April 6, 2022 Second child’s nutritionist said it’s no bueno. 🥺 Too much like sugar. He used to drink a little can of low sodium V8 after work.

Stuff like tortillas and pasta.
ChrisL Posted April 6, 2022 Share #6 Posted April 6, 2022 Every now & then I get a hankering for V8. I get the low sodium ones & add a shot of hot sauce. I might try the Worcester sauce next time.

I had been having trouble finding V8 in 12 oz. cans earlier this year and came across a 24-pack case for cheap at Costco. That should last me until the Fall.
