Popular Post ChrisL Posted May 28, 2022 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 28, 2022 Drove the new (to me) Mazda up to the mountains last night. Man I love the way the car handles the twist & turns of the mountain road. I kept it in Sport mode which mainly keeps it in a lower gear which kept me from having to downshift and I hardly used the brakes as throttle control & tight handling kept me on track. Several times my wife was grabbing the oh shit handles so I know I was going a bit fast for her comfort too! 😂 I never had a car with adaptive headlights and damn they are a game changer (plus LED headlights) on dark twisty mountain roads. I’m currently on the deck listening to the birds, smelling the mountain air drinking my coffee & putzing around here on my phone. My daughter, SIL C & Smokey should be rolling in soon. 1

team scooter Posted May 28, 2022 Share #4 Posted May 28, 2022 Zoom Zoom driving smile brought to you from the same company who brought us the Miata.
groupw Posted May 29, 2022 Share #5 Posted May 29, 2022 CX5s are way more capable on a mountain road than they should have a right to be! Glad you’re enjoying it. Our Miata needs a battery but a couple bills were due at the same time we had to pay the plumber. Hopefully be able to get it out again very soon. 1

Mazda made the CXs for the Miata owners that need to do other stuff too.
Rattlecan ★ Posted May 29, 2022 Share #8 Posted May 29, 2022 Twisty mountain roads are fun when you have the right car. Last time I had that experience was in a rental car in Portugal. A nimble little Volkswagen with a diesel and a 6 speed. Fun times. I have it all on dashcam video. Some day I will put it on Youtube. I hear people actually watch that stuff.

My Malibu has LED headlamps, and this is my first car with them. They are bright AF compared to halogen.
