Dirtyhip Posted December 31, 2013 Share #1 Posted December 31, 2013 It finally came. I'm taking it out for a fat ride today. For a beastly tank, it is surprisingly zippy. K told me it's a race fat bike. Grip shift is odd. I will have to train my brain to remember how to shift. I've been running rapid fire like forever. Dirtyhip Posted December 31, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted December 31, 2013 Great news! Let's see a pic! I am too lazy. Maybe later. Here are some pics taken by another of same model. They take better pictures than me anyway. The only caveat is that my bike has white rim tape and not the red.

Randomguy Posted December 31, 2013 Share #7 Posted December 31, 2013 Well, if you don't post a picture, you should at least post a link.

Randomguy Posted December 31, 2013 Share #12 Posted December 31, 2013 So why gripshift? Is it because it is hard to shift with lobstered hands? I like rapidfire for all conditions, but that is just me.

I like rapidfire for all conditions, but that is just me. You got it. The mittens and bulky gloves make shifting problematic.

Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted December 31, 2013 Share #18 Posted December 31, 2013 Congrats. You must be relieved and excited. I hope you have some good riding weather. I don't think there's such a thing as 'bad' weather for a fat tire bike. Snow? - ride over it. Mud? - through it. A flood? - put helium in the tires and ride across the water. But I'd make sure I used winter or summer helium, depending on the season.
