Longjohn ★ Posted October 19, 2016 Share #8 Posted October 19, 2016 I hate the yellow jackets that get caught in your jersey when it's partially unzipped and can't get out the bottom of it because of the elastic so they start trying to sting their way out. ChrisL Posted October 19, 2016 Share #9 Posted October 19, 2016 I don't recall if gnats are a seasonal thing or not but last week I rode through a swarm of them and they were clustered at the top of a little rise that I powered up with my mouth open.... Got a bunch of them in my mouth before I realized what happened... Our birds seem to be confused, the past few days they've been chirping up a storm like its spring time?!?! Longjohn ★ Posted October 19, 2016 Share #10 Posted October 19, 2016 The problem I have with fall is the bait shops are closed for the season and the fish don't like my lures. Other than that retirement is treating me ok.

I probably could, or under a piece of firewood. One bait shop was open, they didn't have any bait. How long am I allowed to keep rubbing it in that I don't have to go to work? I figure the first year is fair game.

Longjohn ★ Posted October 19, 2016 Share #14 Posted October 19, 2016 I'm going to have to get back in my kayak. I was fishing from a formerly submerged railroad bed but it is overrun with spiders.

Heck, I have been retired for 10+years, and I still poke them once in a while.
