Square Wheels Posted September 26, 2017 Share #1 Posted September 26, 2017 Rodale owns Runners World and their forums, which are soon to be closed. This makes me sad. http://community.runnersworld.com/topic/important-news

Square Wheels Posted September 26, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted September 26, 2017 I don't like Facebook, at all. I liked that forum, though I never participated. I hate that people think moving to Facebook is a good idea.

I believe it's the same log in for any Rodale forum, so if you get banned from the Runners World, you will likely be banned from Bicycling too. They aren't scheduled for closure (yet). I'm with you. If the management over there had half a brain they'd be moving over to MySpace. 4

I'm glad you have this place @Square Wheels I like FB for posting bike stuff, and a lot of my "friends" on there are people I ride with, and a good way to keep in touch w/ peeps I meet on rides. Bike club chick and I have two new friends that we just met. It has a purpose IMO, but a forum it is not.

I poke in every now & again but it looked like it was down again last week... Its pretty much a handful of people, and a very small handfull, trying to keep the place going. It's pretty much dead as it is...

The old posters put a couple of forums back up using the old format. The new format drove away posters. Just for laugh I clicked on 'sign in/register' and it took me to another Bicycling page that had no place to sign in! The best method is to have an old computer that stayed logged in.

I wonder if those of us that could never log in were secretly banned and didn't know it and as the forum was going down the drain they removed the bans?
