maddmaxx ★ Posted January 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 6, 2020 he International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced Tuesday that “Breaking” will be an official Olympic sport added to the program of the 2024 games in Paris, and yes — that means breakdancing is now a sport. It’s a move that aims to make the games “more urban” and “more artistic” 1
Dottleshead ★ Posted January 6, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 6, 2020 I suppose they needed something. I feel the Olympics have been losing some interest -- but maybe I'm wrong? Of course I could google it -- but this way you can all make fun of me for my ignorance. @jsharr can you make a quick photo of Dotttie doing a face plant -- a soccer ball and a flop preferably? Although are the sports included dependent on the location of the games? I can’t imagine sailing were part of the Atlanta games?

MickinMD ★ Posted January 7, 2020 Share #13 Posted January 7, 2020 I used to donate regularly to the U.S. Olympic Committee. Then one year when there were international college basketball games held in Cuba, it was learned that the U.S. Olympic Committee was paying to fly the American players back and forth between Cuba and Miami each day because the hotels were nicer in Miami. I stopped donating.
sheep_herder ★ Posted January 7, 2020 Share #14 Posted January 7, 2020 I must admit, I enjoy watching races, etc., but shy away from those sports that the results are controlled by judges.
