Longjohn ★ Posted October 15, 2021 Share #2 Posted October 15, 2021 Getting my 2 1/2 hr. Eye exam this morning. My brother is supposed to take me there and bring me home. I hope he shows up. His sleep schedule is like that of a teenager. He’s a night owl, stays up half the night and sleeps till noon. If he’s not here by 8:30 owl drive myself.
BuffJim Posted October 15, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 15, 2021 Good Morning. Working from home, because the plumber came by. We have to buy a faucet and a toilet, and he’ll do the install. BuffCarla’s tire blew out yesterday. We’re getting her 2 new ones and pick the car up after work tonight.

Did she change it herself or were you her knight in shining armor?!?!

Easy to take the lazy way, but damages tires. My daughter did the same thing when she lived here. Bubble was golf ball size and tire dealer said she could drive on it a month ago. Bad advice. We had AAA tow it to a different tire dealer.

Did "reckless" ever come up in the conversation you two had on the flat?

MickinMD ★ Posted October 15, 2021 Share #8 Posted October 15, 2021 I spent the morning reconciling my credit card accounts (7). They're a hassle because all the info in the online states sometimes don't match the total owed plus pending charges. For example, they often take my 15th of the month payment off my total but don't list it in the online activity for a couple days. Meanwhile, the TV ran in the background with a deluge of Medicare Advantage commercials including one where a dog barks and we're told he's telling us not to miss the Dec. 7th deadline. My pension has an excellent 75% subsidized Medicare Supplemental, so I ignore the ads.
