Are you sick of gmail?

No, I'm not sick of Gmail.

My Gmail account is used as a 'recovery' account.   If I lock myself out of various places (which doesn't happen too often) I needed a separate account to use allow me to get back in.  It was easy to set up on my Galaxy S7.     I don't use it for everyday email, etc..

WoBG and I use Outlook for email.   We use MS Outlook on our computers for our email.    I seldom use my phone for email.  I HATE typing on a phone.

Before gmail I had a bunch of other emails from different providers, and most of them are now out of business.  So gmail is fine for me as long as it stays in business and I don't have to change my contact info on a variety of sites.

When I was coaching high school sports and the chess team, every time I switched Internet Service Providers I had to contact other coaches from Virginia to New Jersey to give them my new email address.

So I finally decided on Microsoft's free hotmail.com: I'd never have to change it.  I still use it and handle it through the Mozilla Thunderbird App on my laptop.  I rare do email on my phone.

I switched to Gmail when we moved. I had the old email with Charter for over 20 years. But they were not available in Maricopa. I like that it is portable and they have a pretty decent spam filter. I only get junk from places I have given my email.

Yeah... when we moved 3 years ago our old email was from Frontier our DSL / landline phone company and that was a problem.  Frontier was not the phone utility for area of our new home.   AT&T didn't have any internet service for the new home site.  At least the cable company has service here.

I moved to Outllook.com (using MS Office / Outlook ) so if we move again I didn't have to change my email address in the MANY places online where it is needed.   That took a while to update.

I've had my Gmail account for 18 years, it was invite only at that time.

Actually the Gmail account I use for this site was created just after they made it available beyond invite. I still keep that one primarily for my photography interests. I made a new one to be my main account just before the move.

I had 10 invites, I would have sent you one.  I think they are expired now.
