Randomguy Posted June 19, 2014 Share #1 Posted June 19, 2014 Well, do you? I have noticed that voicemails don't get near the response anymore, emails seem to be the wave of the future. Why is that?
Former member Posted June 19, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 19, 2014 Text me if I don't answer. I haven't listened to a voicemail since 2010.
UglyBob Posted June 19, 2014 Share #3 Posted June 19, 2014 I'm antisocial. I don't respond to anything but faceless posts on innerweb forums.
Square Wheels Posted June 19, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 19, 2014 I don't like talking to people on the phone, I much prefer email. I save it as evidence too.
smudge ★ Posted June 19, 2014 Share #5 Posted June 19, 2014 Voicemails I receive are from my daughters. Yes, I listen, smile, maybe roll my eyes, smile some more, give them a call back.
KrAzY Posted June 19, 2014 Share #6 Posted June 19, 2014 depends on who is calling me. 95% of the time I answer my phone anyways if I know the number or not... Marketing people are fun to drew with at times!
Randomguy Posted June 19, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted June 19, 2014 I don't like talking to people on the phone, I much prefer email. I save it as evidence too. I think lots of folks are too busy to pay attention to anything other than written business correspondence, just like you.
Nate Posted June 19, 2014 Share #8 Posted June 19, 2014 Well, do you? I have noticed that voicemails don't get near the response anymore, emails seem to be the wave of the future. Why is that? Because city folk have their heads so far up their ass that they can't talk on the phone anymore. The conversation is muffled by their butt cheeks

Olas Nah Posted June 19, 2014 Share #12 Posted June 19, 2014 VM is a PITA to answer these days. Always gotta enter a code, notifications won't go away on your phone unless you delete the sucker, the IVR prompts are laborious. It's all an attempt on their part to sell you their 'text voicemail' stuff....which I definitely liked, but it's too costly to be worthwhile. I don't get that many VM's, because SMART PEOPLE JUST SEND YOU A TEXT.

Olas Nah Posted June 19, 2014 Share #14 Posted June 19, 2014 Doesn't quite work that way Kzoo. Verizon makes you click through a 'hey, pay for text to vm' thingy, then you have to enter your code, every time, and then you have to 'wait' for the ivr prompts...no shortcutting. Kzoo Posted June 20, 2014 Share #17 Posted June 20, 2014 Goddammit I apologize profusely Olas. I was wrong. I have to click the phone button on my iPhone first. So it's - Click Phone, Click VM, Click ||, Click Speaker (optional) Or I simply say hold down the start stop button and tell Sire to 'Check voice-mail' and she displays my voice mail. One button - one command.
