UglyBob Posted August 26, 2014 Share #2 Posted August 26, 2014 I borrow a Powertap wheel once in a while and link it to my Garmin, but I don't currently own one.

Square Wheels Posted August 26, 2014 Share #4 Posted August 26, 2014 Yes. BS will tell you I wasted my money, and maybe I did. I had a power tap added to my new wheels. For now I am just collecting data. This winter I will ride indoors again and take "lessons" from a coach. I will have him evaluate my past data and data at that time and help me develop a plan to get stronger next year. Because of my need to pee frequently and fear of crashing, I'll likely never race. That doesn't mean I don't want to be a stronger all around rider.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted August 26, 2014 Share #5 Posted August 26, 2014 No. Just not into that shit. When I had a computer on my handlebars I was obsessed with the numbers. Now I don't care and try to enjoy the ride. I track distance, time and elevation gain but I don't compare the totals ride to ride.
kingtermite Posted August 26, 2014 Share #6 Posted August 26, 2014 I have a multimeter which can measure voltage and current. From that I can compute power.

Kzoo Posted August 27, 2014 Share #9 Posted August 27, 2014 I hope this is not a trick question... How many grams does that weigh Thaddeus?
JerrySTL ★ Posted August 27, 2014 Share #10 Posted August 27, 2014 There's one on the side of my house. Too many watts for my liking!
Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted August 27, 2014 Share #11 Posted August 27, 2014 How many grams does that weigh Thaddeus? Drat! You would have to ask, and I just put the dang things away. Now I'll be embarrassed that I have to guess rather than give you a proper answer to three decimal points. I would guess about 2000 grams for each of the larger meters, about 500 grams for the smaller.
Parr8hed Posted August 27, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 27, 2014 I just produce power, I don't meter it.
