Popular Post smudge ★ Posted February 26, 2022 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 26, 2022 DoSmudge1 is there now and called to get out some frustrations about the in-laws. You know the Geico commercial about parking at the game? That's her in-laws, just for starters. DoSmudge1 is used to adventures with her mom, so this situation is kinda difficult for her. Anyway, we were talking and I decided heck ya! I'm 57 and have hardly traveled. I'll be saving my pennies so we can have a fun few days in Florida in the middle of next winter. They are in Naples this year, Anna Maria island last year. She really liked the island cuz it is cute. I'll let her pick where we go. I'm hoping this will be a mom and daughter thing. We'll need to talk more about it obviously. 😊 10 5

Popular Post BuffJim Posted February 26, 2022 Popular Post Share #3 Posted February 26, 2022 Go. When my Dad was healthier they spent 6-10 weeks there every winter. We’d often go visit. Many great memories. 5

BR46 Posted February 26, 2022 Share #6 Posted February 26, 2022 We might go back to Florida next year but probably won't be racing at Daytona. I would race the sidecar but not the motorcycle but Wo46 dosen't want to race either at the Speedway. So if we go back to Florida it would be to get away from the snow and ice.
maddmaxx ★ Posted February 26, 2022 Share #7 Posted February 26, 2022 I've lived for 2 years in Key West and another in Orlando. I love Florida. My family thinks it's too hot. They like it here. Yah, they really claim they do.

Seriously, whether it's Florida or somewhere else, if you're going go - ie bothering to drive or fly somewhere - make it worth the effort by staying a while. A week is the minimum to even decompress, and, if it has been a period where you haven't been taking vacations, you've certainly earned the time away and should enjoy it! MickinMD ★ Posted February 28, 2022 Share #9 Posted February 28, 2022 Sounds like fun. Everyone there should have caught COVID by then so it will be extra safe! I was there in 2017 but just spent a day in Fort Lauderdale before we went on a Caribbean Cruise that also spent a day in Key West - that was a lot of fun. I ate and drank at Sloppy Joe's Bar but had crab puffs, not a sloppy Joe.
