Can I come visit and bring 3 dogs, a sled and 6 harnesses? I'm sure some airedales would think a run in the snow would be fun. 1
smudge ★ Posted March 2, 2018 Share #5 Posted March 2, 2018 I really should have more empathy for the people enduring this storm, but I am sitting back snickering. I'm sorry for my heartlessness. You definitely made the right call. And I'm still snickering....

MickinMD ★ Posted March 2, 2018 Share #9 Posted March 2, 2018 It was sunny and 40F+ this morning, but almost every school system in the Baltimore area was closed or opened then closed because of 20-50 mph sustained winds with over 70 mph gusts. There were more traffic accidents this AM in the area than during the last major snow or the last hurricane. A 101 year-old oak tree was blown over and hit two cars moving along the road, the occupants fortunately only suffering minor injuries. I need to go grocery shopping today and wanted to go to Wegman's, which is about 25 min away, mostly via expressways and SW of Annapolis which I'd pass on the way, but the noon news just now shows up to 49 mph winds at Annapolis. So I'm going to hit a few local stores on the 30-45 mph local roads, where the news says the gusts have dropped to 25 mph as you move away from the Chesapeake Bay. The winds are expected to last until tomorrow night!
BuffJim Posted March 2, 2018 Share #10 Posted March 2, 2018 All schools are closed around here. Actually by 7:00 Am the storm was done. But I know It lingered a while longer in Rochester area. Your kids probably appreciate your soft heartedness.
