 up about 4:15 am again..this time I only rolled around to 4:40...I need more sleep...maybe I will try the sofa.

You need a recliner. Old ladies can only sleep so long in a bed and then they move to a recliner.

I figured out a way to profit from my inability to sleep. My employer has been begging me to work overtime. I told him I couldnt work late, but I'd be willing to start two hours early and go home at the regular time. He's was so flipping happy he gave me a raise for my sacrifice. So I got a raise and I'm getting paid ten hours overtime every week. Little does he know, its time I used to sit in bed staring at the ceiling waiting for work to start anyway.

For sure, certain types of pillows matter a lot to me, in terms of comfort and falling asleep.  I spent over 3 wks., trying to find the right pillow.  Japanese hotels that we were in, interesting had pillows that I could sleep. Flatter and shaped around the head /neck without pushing my head too far forward when lying in bed.

Have you had this sleep problem since your shingles or before, petite?

Get a well made, seriously comfy recliner. Me and Sis got one for my Stepdad, and he almost lived in it.

I don't know why, but I don't like them. Partly that's because my sofa is pretty good. The wife has one, we got it on closeout, it had been a grand.
