Popular Post Parr8hed Posted April 1, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted April 1, 2019 Took off work Thursday and headed to the infamous Brown County for the weekend. This was going to be the first trip of the season in the camper. This made me excited. Arrived at the KOA in Nashville to find a nice, dope site complete with cool furniture and a concrete pad and built in faar pit. The other family we were camping with went with us and we went to Bigwood's Pizza house and micro brew. We met another family there. I had a really good pizza and an amazing peanut butter stout. This made me happy. We went back to the campsite and watched Purdue win around a faar. This made me jealous (for the Hoosiers). Friday we went to the IU/MSU softball game. Emmy's team got to take part in pre-game festivities, meet the coaches and players, and get VIP seating for the game. IU put up a 12 run 4th inning to take the win! This made me very happy. Emmy got to hang out with Tara (starting pitcher) after the game for a few min. Sat and Sun were a bit of a blur. Our softball tourney got cancelled due to some torrential rain. This later turned to sleet. This made me mad. For the first time ever I got a coax cable and hooked the camper to the cable TV input at the site. We stayed inside and watched basketball while the camper got covered in sleet and snow. This made me angry. Sunday I packed up the camper and headed home after a big breakfast and huge faar. Packing up everything in 28 degree snow made my fingers hurt. I was sad to see our adventure come to an end, but happy to be home. The end. 9

Though there was some dude playing a guitar that I though could have passed for a skinnier version of him.
Parr8hed Posted April 1, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted April 1, 2019 Not only did the rain ruin any softballing, but it killed any chances for bicycle riding in the state park with some great MTB trails. The cold even killed the fishing for G man. It was sunny and 70 the day we arrived, 28 and snowing when we pulled out.

I was looking at that picture of Emmy standing with Tara, she is almost full grown. It seems like maybe a couple years ago she was riding in the kid trailer and G-man was on the trail-a-bike.

Randomguy Posted April 1, 2019 Share #18 Posted April 1, 2019 This just means the camping trips will get better and better as bad weather changes to normal weather.
Kirby Posted April 1, 2019 Share #19 Posted April 1, 2019 Glad the first part of the trip was fun, and that at least you had a nice camper for shelter later in the weekend.

And what were you cooking? We enjoy your cooking stories. That's a 4 burner 36" griddle made by Blackstone. The bottom supports fold up decent and go in the bed of the truck. The big steel piece that you cook on is a PITA. It's heavy, and greasy. I always just put it in the bed of the truck. I love to cook on it. It's wonderful when we have other families come with us. Just a PITA to transport. We are cooking ground beef and chicken tacos there. I'll try to dig up some more pics of cooking on it.

Chicken and steak fajitas. Ribeye and garlic parm potatoes Chicken and steak fajitas again. The sear side of the ribeyes and garlic taters. street tacos with steak (sirloin) and chicken. Smash burgers. You can make enough pancakes to feed a softball team in a matter of minutes. Cutting into the ribyeye.
dinneR ★ Posted April 1, 2019 Share #22 Posted April 1, 2019 That is one serious F'ing grill! I'd like to stop just to eat please. I'll bring some beer, bourbon, and a box of wine. Must be sweet after a day ripping through trails. Hopefully next time the rain will hold off.
