JerrySTL ★ Posted June 27, 2020 Share #8 Posted June 27, 2020 Softride! I probably wouldn't buy a tandem without disk brakes or at least the drum brakes some tandems had. With nearly twice the weight, stopping can be an adventure using rim brakes.
Ralphie ★ Posted June 27, 2020 Share #9 Posted June 27, 2020 @Bikeguy might be! He's snot that far away either.

The front and rear pedals aren’t parallel either.

The jury is still out. I should be able to get my tandem to the LBS (hopefully this nest week) to see what needs to be done to repair, or replace the frame. Or worse replace the tandem. After the verdict comes in.. I'll know what to do. Just curious... why 2 chainrings in the sync chain of the this tandem that's for sale??? Bikeguy Posted June 27, 2020 Share #14 Posted June 27, 2020 NM... I just found the answer on the Craigslist ad. "Child pedal crank set includes chain. Clamps onto seat tube for young riders to pedal."

Further Posted June 28, 2020 Share #17 Posted June 28, 2020 I recently sold a bike. I put an add on Craigslist and got 7 scammer replies, and 1 possibly legit reply. My wife posted the same add on the local facebook marketplace, she got a couple dozen replies in the 16 hours that the add was up, the first person to call showed up and bought it. Bikes are in huge demand right now, but around here anyway Craigslist has a bad rap.
