Happy π day

When is it time to eat?  Have we passed it yet?  I'm good with the 3/14 part, but narrowing down the next bit to a time is killing me!

Dang teacher didn't know nutthin. Kept saying pie are square when everybody knows pie are round.

I former boss used to day that. I'd say Pi r squared (circle area), then my boss would say, "pie aren't square, they're round"

There used to be an elementary school contest locally, where the Bowie (Maryland, southwest of Annapolis, East of D.C.) Baysox (AA Minor League) baseball team awarded two free tickets a game to kids who could recite pi to something like 5 decimal places.  I taught my nephew Ryan an IIT cheer and he won the tickets.

The great thing about some of the minor league stadiums, like Bowie's and like Cal Ripken's Aberdeen Ironbirds (single A) is that the concessions are sold at McDonalds-like prices, the seats are close to the game, and there's a playground for little kids with picnic tables for the adults.  If you buy the tickets yourself, they're a small fraction of major league tickets.

e to the x dy dx,

e to the x dy.

Tangent, secant, cosine, sine,

Three point one four one five nine.

i, pi, two point three,

Let's have a cheer for IIT!
