Parsnip Totin Jack Posted January 25, 2020 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2020 The heavy rains overnight have ended. I had a slice of sourdough rye and an apple with my coffee for breakfast. Second cup is at the Caffe meeting Mike to catch up on things. Busy day ahead. Sheets are in the washer. Going shopping later.
Parr8hed Posted January 25, 2020 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2020 Good morning. G's high school won a tough one last night in OT. A team that they should have beaten by 20, but shots were not falling. One of those games. Missed 5 FT in OT! I am up cleaning blood, but didn't have to come in until 8:30. Just helping out a friend so she can see her son's basketball game today. And all of the hours are OT. And I only have to stay till noon. Emmy has a BB tourney today and G has a swim meet and tonight we have a fund raiser night at a local casino for Emmy's softball team. I'm glad I slept 8 hours last night! 3
Longjohn Posted January 25, 2020 Share #3 Posted January 25, 2020 Good morning, the heavy rain stopped. I should move some wood. The project of the day is to change the bedding on the horspittle bed. Not an easy thing to do with the patient lying in it. I invented something yesterday that helps me slide my wife back up in her bed. She keeps sliding down every time she raises the top of the bed to eat meals etc. It was hurting my back and shoulders trying to do it myself a bunch of times a day 1

I wonder how hard empty nest syndrome is going to hit you and the misses in a few years? The time between when they move out on their own and when they start bringing the grandkids around may be tough. 1 2

Tea Kettle is on and so are the cooking shows Gotta clean up my kitchen..Hanging around for now #1 Our work painter...who is gonna fix my ceiling might stop in to look at the job...and #2 my neighbor who I usually run out with for a meal and errands...had a grandkids BB (Bottom Bracket ) game at 8 AM...I think the games might be 30 to 45 minutes in length...they are usually in Woodbury (where I see my trainer) about 30 minutes away! Gonna make some beef stew...haven't made it in years...just a simple slow cook sort or thing...I never did learn how to make good beef stew like my Momma made ....but this works... 1

maddmaxx Posted January 25, 2020 Share #9 Posted January 25, 2020 Good morning. Rains are coming in later today. We will pick up oldest son from cousins house where he stayed last night. He's probably pretty jet lagged after 29 hours travel.

Trade in the bunk house for a different camper and enjoy some free weekends when not following around a college softball team! 1
Airehead Posted January 25, 2020 Share #11 Posted January 25, 2020 Well it is afternoon already. Got up early and did stuff. Took Air Racer to the vet at 8. He was so good. They did not believe me when I said it was an act and part of his grand plan. Paulie is planning to run the world soon. Einstein isn’t well with flu like symptoms despite getting a flu shot but it might be viral. I am worried that this will delay his heart surgery. In the meantime, I am making him eat clementines and sip on some homemade veggie broth. Might now make those cheese steaks after all.

Last I read, he was sitting next to someone with a hack.
MickinMD Posted January 25, 2020 Share #14 Posted January 25, 2020 Our heavy rain began late last Friday evening - so I got a good 50F walk with Jake in that afternoon. It's still rainy all day Sat. and my calves are sore from an extra-long walk, so I'm being lazy.
