jsharr ★ Posted March 3, 2023 Share #1 Posted March 3, 2023 I ask because as I sit here sipping my Pedialyte and eating some saltines both dogs want some. Remi you see is 70 pounds and he gets a full saltine. Romeo, my nap buddy is about 15 pounds and I give him a portion of a saltine that I’ve eaten most of. discuss
Randomguy Posted March 3, 2023 Share #2 Posted March 3, 2023 It is more volume that they understand, I think. Fractions are harder than 'more' or 'less' to dogs. Are you concerned that Remi will kill you in your sleep?

I do not want to hurt his feelings but I also don’t wanna make him fat and I realize I can’t feed him the same amount that I feed a dog four or five times his size. jsharr ★ Posted March 3, 2023 Author Share #4 Posted March 3, 2023 I am not sure that Romeo realizes he smaller than Remy because he will fight with me over toys and stuff. It’s play fighting but still, it’s pretty funny to see this little dog, having to stand on his back legs to get in the face of the big dog. That would be like cheating a member of the family. 1
