Most years, we get snow in the first week of April when the ground is too warm for it to stick. People say, "Can you believe it? It's snowing in April!" Alta Ski Hill Rd, Stateline Rd, and Alta North Rd are all CLOSED and will remain closed for the day. JHMR could barely open: All lifts but Teewinot will remain closed for the day. Safety is our number one priority and our Mtn Ops team worked hard to open the upper mountain but Mother Nature had the final say. Thanks for your understanding, be safe and a reminder: no uphill traffic allowed. SK opened and then shut down all but one lift. I skinned up half way and it was closed. Avi danger was high.
