petitepedal ★ Posted October 6, 2017 Share #3 Posted October 6, 2017 I have a complete tool box...and the book..got it when I acquired a couple of bikes, a work stand, a 2 bike bike stand etc. I could give it to a biking friend and probably have a personal bike mechanic forever...or I could stumble through being my own mechanic....However...maybe I can swing a deal and learn just enough to be dangerous
ChrisL Posted October 6, 2017 Share #4 Posted October 6, 2017 Go for it! I can do a lot of repairs and have built a couple of bikes but anymore I take it in for most things. My time is limited and really don't want to spend it truing wheels, setting up tubeless tires or finding the odd noise....

airinpie Posted October 6, 2017 Author Share #15 Posted October 6, 2017 So I took my bike down the hallway and sat on it. Good news - it didn't immediately bottom out. Bad news - I almost crashed trying to perform a track stand. ?

It's a good feeling, but most importantly you set things the way you want them. Depending on your level of OCD it can spare that unease when you get your bike back from your bike mechanic and still hear some weird sound. It's not like any other bike.
