Popular Post Airehead Posted November 29, 2017 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 29, 2017 I wasn't going to tell it but since chicken salad is on the plate-- here goes--. I used all the sweet tea last night. We had dog school tonight so Mr. Aire was home early getting things done. I was answering a reporter's call about a baby beaten by her father. It followed an interview that ran yesterday. Anyway, I digress. Mr. Aire was being nice so he made a new batch of sweet tea. I came home and he poured me a glass. It was sti a little warm and melted the ice. This made me sad because I usually give a cube to Ryan. Then I tasted it and it wasn't very good tea. I drank it because he made it with love. I felt content drinking week tea. 4

Kirby Posted November 29, 2017 Share #4 Posted November 29, 2017 That was a very sweet story, Aire. Mr Aire is a good egg. 1
Parr8hed Posted November 29, 2017 Share #5 Posted November 29, 2017 I usually prefer not to drink week tea. Any tea that has sat that long is no longer any good. Maybe that's why you didn't enjoy it? 2
pedalphile Posted November 29, 2017 Share #6 Posted November 29, 2017 What is sweet tea? I take it it is not simply sweetened tea?

Yes, except it is made with a simple syrup poured in instead of granular sugar
BuffJim Posted November 29, 2017 Share #8 Posted November 29, 2017 Nice story, but the finish needs more oomph. I suggest this: I felt vaguely content drinking weak tea.
Road Runner Posted November 29, 2017 Share #9 Posted November 29, 2017 I'm too lazy to make tea. People make it for me.
az_cyclist Posted November 29, 2017 Share #10 Posted November 29, 2017 I used to love sweet tea when I was younger. That said, southern sweet tea was always too sweet. Since I need to cut down on my sugar, I guess it is good that I like less sweet tea now.
Airehead Posted November 29, 2017 Author Share #11 Posted November 29, 2017 Sometimes people like my7 grandmamma put a pinch of baking soda in the tea to cut the acid.

I buy that tea shown above and it is too sweet. I dilute it with water, about 3 to 1 or so. Very drinkable then. Also when it gets down to about half full, I dump in a 2-liter bottle of Country Time lemonade to make it Arnold Palmer Tea.
MickinMD ★ Posted November 30, 2017 Share #13 Posted November 30, 2017 They sell Snapple "Takes 2 to Mango Tea" at Costco for cheap in cases of 35 20-oz bottles. That's tea! Unfortunately it's also 200 Calories so I don't drink it unless I've walked at least 2 miles - or the shopping equivalent - that day or the day before.
