Ralphie ★ Posted August 31, 2014 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2014 It is a glorious day here (Sunday of a four day weekend ). The effing crows are making a real racket, though! But that is ok, because it reminds me of my grandparents' house.

Square Wheels Posted August 31, 2014 Share #7 Posted August 31, 2014 Try as I might, I can't sleep past 8. Am I getting old?
Ralphie ★ Posted August 31, 2014 Author Share #8 Posted August 31, 2014 Try as I might, I can't sleep past 8. Am I getting old? Yes. But since you have so little life left, might as well not waste too much of it sleeping. But still, a mid-day nap would be quite cool.

SuzieQ Posted August 31, 2014 Share #10 Posted August 31, 2014 Good morning all! Looks like rain here. Teaching this morning and then going over to my studio (which is giving me anxiety) to try to put some cubbies together and fix a patch paint job I did. TrentonMakes Posted August 31, 2014 Share #11 Posted August 31, 2014 good morning everyone - I almost always wake up by 6:30 but when I looked at the clock this morning it was a little after 8. Guess it was a good ride yesterday. Rest day today. Kids are frosting the cupcakes they made last night.
Chopped Liver Posted August 31, 2014 Share #12 Posted August 31, 2014 morning.....up at 8:30. Let muttley out and sipping coffee. Need to do a little reading this morning then go to the mall (shudder) to get some new lenses for my glasses, The sand from the beach destroyed these lenses. If the weather doesn't go south on us, maybe the wife and I will go swim a few laps this afternoon before dinner.
Road Runner Posted August 31, 2014 Share #13 Posted August 31, 2014 Morning. It's kinda hot here in the lower right corner of VA. 90's and high humidity. But I might go for an easy ride today. My wound is healing faster than the first one did, which is strange because this new one is larger and deeper. I like riding in hot weather. Makes you feel alive. Dirtyhip Posted August 31, 2014 Share #17 Posted August 31, 2014 Woke up at 7:30. Been sleeping in the last couple of days. Long ride on the fat bikes today. We're headed out in the flats of the OC & E trail. The ride is scenic.

Dirtyhip Posted August 31, 2014 Share #21 Posted August 31, 2014 I like riding in hot weather. Makes you feel alive. Riding in heat is my living hell. I prefer cold to extreme heat any day. I can dress accordingly. I can't cool down in the heat and it exacerbates my MS. I am looking forward to Winter. Hurry snow!
Ralphie ★ Posted August 31, 2014 Author Share #22 Posted August 31, 2014 Seriously, I have contemplated moving there. It might not be sauna-like enough for you, since I hear that a dry 112 only feels like aboot 78 F or so.
