Road Runner Posted July 7, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 7, 2018 I have seen this on TV. This seems really gross to me. Dog hairs and other disgusting dog stuff floating around on the surface. I like dogs and I used to have dogs, but I don't think I would want them in my pool.
MickinMD Posted July 7, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 7, 2018 My brother just spent $5500 on a new liner for his pool this year. Jake the Golden Doodle and the paws on his 72 lb. body are not welcome even though the poodle part of his genetics makes him virtually shed-free. Jake and my brother and I and the rest of our dozen+ do, though, miss the hot tub we left behind at our vacation "cabin" this morning:
Popular Post Longjohn Posted July 7, 2018 Popular Post Share #3 Posted July 7, 2018 When we had dogs they were always welcome in the pool. The skimmer, filter, and chlorinator did a great job of keeping dog gunk at bay. My son’s dog chased and retrieved tennis balls as long as he could get someone to throw them. He drank a lot of water in the process but always got out and ran to his favorite tree to pee...... and peeee...... and pee. Then he would dive back in ready for more. If he couldn’t get anyone to throw the ball for him he would set it on the very edge of the deck and wait for it to fall in. If it didn’t fall he would give it a nudge and then wait for it to drift across the pool so he could dive in and rescue it. 4
Kirby Posted July 7, 2018 Share #4 Posted July 7, 2018 No because I don't have a dog, or a pool. But the people I know who have both generally let their dogs swim in the pool.
Zephyr Posted July 7, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 7, 2018 Yes, when I had a pool, my dogs were allowed in.
ChrisL Posted July 7, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 7, 2018 My brother lets his big dog in the pool, his little one doesn't care for it. He says it's more work to clean it but not a big deal, they both enjoy playing in the pool together.
Wilbur Posted July 8, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 8, 2018 I let them swim in my neighbours pool.
Randomguy Posted July 8, 2018 Share #8 Posted July 8, 2018 I have a hard time imagining why anyone wouldn't want to share the fun with a buddy, and probably the buddy you see most often. In the pool? Hell yeah.

Square Wheels Posted July 8, 2018 Share #10 Posted July 8, 2018 I'd pee in your pool, why can't the dog?
