Looking back through those difference in height photos has me all nostalgic. Mrs Z and I will celebrate our 36th anniversary next month. We’ve been together for 39 years. This, I believe, was our first official date at a church Valentine’s Day event: This was last year celebrating Valentines Day at a local Thai restaurant: 🥰12 points

I completed the dozen 5' tall, 15.25" diameter tomato cages with hand-holes cut into the cages and the 24 2-foot-long pointed stakes made from furring strips that will be driven a foot into the ground and the tomato cages anchored to them. Tomato cage height compared to a yardstick, the stakes and .... The roll of twist ties that will hold the tomato cages to the stakes: they're like bread wrappers except the wire is surrounded by a rubbery material so it won't hurt plants if you use it to wrap and train them.5 points

I grew up in Central Florida without air conditioning. Left for college and parents air conditioned the home and bought a riding lawn mower.4 points

I came here because nobody else wants to hear my boring stories about motorcycle racing, sidecar racing and racing and the other stories about racing.3 points

There were some members of the LF that were absolute jerks. They would look for the littlest mistake in a post and viciously humiliate the one who posted a message about a bike ride, an entertainment event, etc. where there was nothing written in anger. Some would attack anyone who hinted at a different political view. I started seeing mentions on the LF about "the other site," searched a few screennames, saw the good posts here, and left the LF.3 points

I’m planning to leave the house by 8:30 for birdwatching. After that buying lunch for my daughter and the people helping at her new house. Their closing went smoothly yesterday. Her island has two great state parks for birdwatching, as well as plenty of bike paths.3 points

I've been there for the Stampede. It's one of the few things I really know about Calgary. Truth requires however that I tell you I was there in the 50's and it was a very strong memory for a young boy. I've also been to Banff (swam in the hot pools) and Lake Louise. On that trip we traveled through a more rustic Canada than today. We once crossed a river on a rope drawn raft. It was so small that the 1950 Buick and the teardrop trailer were the full capacity. It was tilted so badly by the weight disparity that we the humans had to cross on a second trip for safety. I believe I was 8 or 9 at the time. Some images of that trip are burned into my memory even though today I have trouble remembering what I did last week.3 points

I've been to every state in the continental US and about 2 dozen foreign countries but there are still dozens of places in CT of interest that I haven't been to. Now our vacations will be local with day trips mostly to see those things.3 points
