On him like a cheap suit!

I asked my wife what she wanted me to wear to my funeral if I croak first. I don’t wear suits. Over the years she has bought me some suits to wear to funerals and stuff. I might still have a couple in the back of the closet. I never change size so they still fit but are out of style.

I'd rather be waked in a track suit but womaxx has too much Irish to follow that request.

Nice!

We just hit up Macy’s the other week. As we are business casual I unloaded all but one suit.  When I got asked to escort our CEO for 3 days on 3 seperate weekends I thought hmm, that one suit isn’t going to cut it...

I went to Macy’s and got 2 sport coats, 2 pants and a shirt for just under $300. We worked the sales and my wife has a Macy’s card so had some coupons for some big discounts.

Around here, the casual funeral is becoming more popular. WoW’s cousin was buried In bib overalls and a plaid flannel shirt. He hated suits! Ironically, the only time I ever saw him was at family weddings and funerals so I only knew him in a suit! My dad didn’t wear a suit after my youngest brother married over 30 years ago. Mom had them dress him in the dress shirt he wore to my nephew’s wedding the summer before.

I’m far from a clothes horse, but I do like to look good. A couple wise leaders said they like their people to be the best dressed in the room. You can always dress down once there, but you can’t really dress up.
I told our kids rather than rent tuxedos for their weddings, I would prefer to buy an Armani or equivalent suit and be done with it. The kids fully agreed.

Yeah it’s always better to be a bit over than under dressed.  I’m generally in slacks and an open collar shirt but some Execs wear jeans & a tshirt.  If you didn’t know them one could confuse a mailroom guy for a VP at my work...

David Hobbs is a regular at my happy place and stops in quite frequently at a local bar on race weekends. I've never stopped to talk to him because he's always in conversation with other race fans.
