petitepedal ★ Posted February 12, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2019 Got a friend request from my dads youngest daughter. Met her once briefly (maybe an hour encounter) in 1981.
maddmaxx ★ Posted February 12, 2019 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2019 I have many strange friends. Usually I don't listen to their requests.

Kzoo Posted February 12, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 12, 2019 Why is that strange? She wants to connect with family.

Half or full, it still seems like blood is blood (unless you are Meghan Markle ).

Maybe she saw your name on a list and just mentioned it. I get unexpected friend requests like that from children of 2nd cousins, etc. Also, a lot of scam artists copy people's Facebook photos and then set up fake Facebook pages with the same names and pictures and then do friend requests of those listed on the original, real page. If the friend request is granted, they figure they've fooled you and proceed with the scam attempt.

You and me both. @Razors Edge just asked me to take off his pants. This is a strange request, and he is not even my friend. 1

12string Posted February 12, 2019 Share #11 Posted February 12, 2019 Rats. This isn't what I thought it was about. I was totally willing to help you out. And I really could have used a new friend.

team scooter Posted February 12, 2019 Share #13 Posted February 12, 2019 My strange friend requests usually coincide with a wedding I attended or some similar occasion where I get meationed, or my picture winds up somewhere on facebook. Then someone that had fonder memories sends me a friend request. Denied. There's a reason I didn't stay in touch over the years.
12string Posted February 12, 2019 Share #14 Posted February 12, 2019 I did just get a request from a cousin that I haven't seen in at least 45 years. Probably only saw her 2 or 3 times ever.
