Sunday, lazy Sunday. I made pie. Two actually, these are about half the size of regular pies. Blueberry and Peach because Wo7 prefers peach and Old#7 prefers blueberry. Double crust recipe divided into quarters and rolled out. Came out very well if I says so myself.

What do you think? I am just going to tear it down and use the land for a trailer park.

I padded my pup's travel crate with a foam mattress topper (to drown out noise from storms, etc.) I have it out near where I work at home so she will get comfortable going in and out of it. Anyway, she decided it was as good a place to rest as any today: Versus her sometimes sitting under a chair: Keep in mind, she has about a dozen "official" spots throughout the house that are hers. A blanket on the couch, a basket in the sun, a padded bed in the master bedroom, my pillow on the bed (!), under the master bed, on the chaise lounge, by the front door, etc.. She likes options. Tom

This lake is less than an hour by bike from my house and has a paved bike/hike trail rolling around it. It's my go to place for my average solo ride. Depending on which route I take I get in 30 to 40 miles. It takes me about fifteen minutes to get my kayak there on my car.

Here are some pics from the cottage. One a few weeks ago, the others, today, with several forest fires in the area. Tomorrow is a good day to get out of Dodge.

Well geeze you could have just left the junk laying around in the shop and it would have collected dust without all that effort. I've got a basement full of "dust collectors".

It's back to work today. Can't say that I really missed it in fact I thought about never coming back.

Firstly, You can find "how-to" videos all over YouTube. This includes starting a Q400 aircraft. Flight simulators in the form of Microsoft games provide good fundamental information. You can find checklists for aircraft on the internet. The Dash 8 or Q 400 in this case, is probably the easiest transport category airplane to fly. It has a very high lift wing and forgiving flight characteristic. On a beautiful day, anybody with just a little knowledge could do what he did. Pilots however, are trained to do it flawlessly in all weather conditions out with engines on fire and hydraulic systems failing. We are even trained to land them. This kid got his landing training from the 911 invaders. It aint difficult.

I was Cubmaster when my kid was a cub scout. There was some kind of activity, soldering or hot glue or some such. Any way the kids were bored with it, we were in my shop, I had a welder.... So some cub scouts got to try arc welding....

I am on Prince Edward Island on the east coast visiting my in-laws who are in their 80's. They like to treat us by taking us out to eat. This is on the menu at the little roadside diner they took us to and typical for here.

12.4 mountain bike ride on the fat bike. 1 hour 6 minutes. Hardest ride I had in a long time. The brakes weren't working right and were dragging most of the ride. They worked the last time I used this bike a month ago.
