  1. At the suggestion of the forum I bought some pork tenderloins today and grilled one for supper. It was really good and tender. I’ll slice down the leftovers and make sandwiches to take on my ride tomorrow.

  3. The cemetery at Elizabethtown is an amazingly beautiful place. The town itself is long gone, but area residents still use the cemetery. A little reading about the history and my photo of the cemetery gate. https://newmexiconomad.com/elizabethtown/

  9. A haircut is such a barbaric practice. Just trying to do what comes normal - grow. And then along comes this masochist brainwash with the psycho thought process propagated by others under the cover of "style and norms" and proceeds to cut the hair off. Then worse, repeats the process. GUILTY! I had a haircut earlier this week. The biggest shock was that they raised the price from the seniors rate of $9 that it has been for decades to a budget busting $13. Even worse, they altered the rounding up tip from $1 where now trying to sucker me into a $2 tip. It is time to repent and quit those wicked way inflicted on hair that is just trying to do what is natural. Return to ones more primal roots!

  24. Yeah.... WoBG told me once.... when she is driving her Honda Prelude, she knows she can go about twice the speed as the warning sign because her car corners like it's on rails. So she'd be good for 90 on this turn.

  29. Jumped in the motorhome and drove to Davenport Iowa for the flat track race and motorcycle swap meet. The racing was canceled last night because of rain. So we boondocked in the fair grounds parking for the next. Today we are headed to Springfield Illinois for the mile oval dirt track race on Sunday...hopefully that won't be rained out.

  32. Its more important for some then others. My wife flew all the way oot to New Mexico to help our son/DIL move from Albuquerque to Louisiana this summer. When she got to NM, very little was packed. Mrs got to work helping fill boxes and loading them in the trailer. When they realized they couldn't fit everything in their trailer, they asked my wife if she would be wiling to drive a rental truck the thousand miles to their new home. So my son drove his big fancy leather seat turbo diesel pulling their 5th wheel trailer, our daughter in law drove her new luxury mini van with the kids, and my nearly 60 year old wife rattled along on her birthday in a noisy, uncomfortable, over loaded rental truck with their dogs, suffering a tire blow out and getting ran off the road once by other traffic along the way. When they got there, the home closing was delayed a few days, so they stayed in a motel room, 3 adults, two small kids, two dogs and a cat. They were all at each other's throats. My son needed to check in at his new base, so our DIL left my wife at the motel to watch the kids and animals because, you know, "she" was "so stressed/worn out" and "she" needed a "time out''. She went to get her hair cut and highlighted so she could "feel like a person again".
