Airehead Posted October 27, 2020 Share #1 Posted October 27, 2020 My favorite Uncle passed. I will tell you about him when I find the words. Meanwhile I want to send a sympathy basket to his wife and my cousins. They are gathered but no ceremony. In July we will gather at Arlington to bury him. What should I send? Usually I send cheese on occasions Like this. Sending cheese to Wisconsin seems fundamentally wrong.

That would seemingly exclude beer, too, but who wouldn’t want a gift basket of beer? 1

Kirby Posted October 28, 2020 Share #8 Posted October 28, 2020 Coffee and dessert gift box from Misericordia Bakery? Delicious Orchards also has a nice gift box selection with a mix of fruit and baked goods.
Kirby Posted October 28, 2020 Share #9 Posted October 28, 2020 You could also pick from a variety of gifts at Zingermans, especially if any of them went to University of Michigan

shootingstar Posted October 28, 2020 Share #13 Posted October 28, 2020 Online order at local bakeshop for coffee, pastries / interesting pie. Cake would be too celebratory.

I was an MP assigned to the 3rd US Infantry The Old Guard and worked countless burials & ceremonies in Arlington Cemetery. None of them affected me until I attended my brothers internment a few years ago. Not sure if you have attended a burial in Arlington but it’s quiet the experience.
