I have a 57 year old "Asshole" costume. I just wear that.

Normally I just take the cheap route by cutting a couple of eye holes in a paper bag and dropping it over my head. One year I decided it wasn't worth the cost of ruining a good paper bag, and just started handing out the candy to the kiddies as usual. A little while later the nice policeman came by. He told me I was scaring the kids and I had to put the bag back on.

MTB paradise, here we come. The house may have to wait another year or so. it is expensive to build custom.

I think the old forum has traumatized them into posting in a much slower, more deliberate way. With the lack of responses there, they think sometimes days before they post, whereas here, thinking before you post kind of ruins the vibe.

Albeit due to the demise of the Bicycling Forums but it's good to see so many new/old people here. The LF will be missed but it's demise brought on many a reunion so we have that! I know the Welcome Bot reached out to the new folks but I'd like to welcome the recent additions and hope to see the remaining hold outs soon.

20.2 flat miles at 15.9 mph avg. Very warm, almost hot, but little wind.

I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma in August, a place on my right bicep. I had this surgery yesterday, where they remove the cancer a layer at a time and examine the layer for cancer cells. They said most procedures are 3 or less; mine was 2 if you dont count getting stitched. I get the stitches out in 2 weeks, but the doctor said no exercise. She said the capillaries need time to heal and the additional blood flow would interfere with that. I am guessing after about 10 days I might cheat a bit and get out on the bike. I wont lift for the full 2 weeks for sure. my BP before they stared was 130 / 81, and my resting HR was 49.

I haven't been on travel much lately and am settling into a good routine at my job so have been riding more. I'm averaging 2 rides after work and a longish ride on the weekend. Some times i get a ride in both weekend days. The problem (a good problem i guess) is my wife is riding more since im riding more. That means road only as she wont ride by herself since her crash 2 years ago and won't/cant ride off road.... So I've been getting a mtn bike ride in sat, long road ride in sun.
