Turns out D2 has one. My only grandchild is going to have a sibling in time for Halloween.11 points

I am a goal oriented person and work best with a hard target. I have been in a bit of a riding funk for the last while and have had zero motivation to ride, even though I know I should be riding more than back and forth to work. My son started to bike to school in University so I bought him a decent bike for Uni graduation that he now commutes to work in Vancouver on. He is 26, about 6 percent body fat, rides, hikes, rock clmbs and eats very healthy. He has done a few 50-60 mile rides, and he was here this weekend. I have committed to heading over to the lower mainland and take him on his first true century ride the second week of June. We will follow a Fondo route out through Fort Langley and Abbotsford that I did a couple years ago. I am going to have to log some miles because I can't crack that day. Now I sort of have that "What have I done?" knot in my stomach. Lol10 points

I didn't get along with my dad, he was pretty abusive when I was younger. I never wanted to be around him. So no, I don't think I became my father. When my middle son, (now 32) was in grade school he came home with an assignment and the last question was, name your favorite super hero. His answer was 'my dad'. Choked me right up when I saw that.10 points

I think it's on page 19, paragraph A. 1. c. 4.3.(g) of the terms and conditions, fine print note #12. Posting about math attracts engineers to the Forum, and once that happens the place will go to hell in a hand basket.7 points

mr. spotted it yesterday, so I cooked up some nectar and hung the feeder last night. Sure enough; there it is today. Come on, summer time!6 points

She did stunt work in Hollywood too. She was hired to be the stunt double for Alicia Silverstone. They flew her to Hollywood and made this costume for her. They wanted her to do an ice climbing scene in those boots. In the end, the ice melted and they did the shoot in a studio.6 points

i'd probably spend a bunch of time looking it up in the internet, see horrible potential news, and then ignore it. But I hope you are smarter than I am, and that your pain goes away quickly6 points

I think @dinneR is dating the most interesting woman in the world! From the tidbits you have shared, Mtn climbing, skiing, riding & pilot she sounds like a bad ass woman!5 points

Drop him in the most humiliating way in the first 10 miles. It will take a lot out of you. Then tell him, there's no shame in just saying you're not ready for a century, "let's try again next year.".5 points

While there are countless things wrong with me, anxiety disorders are not on the list. Now I'm worried I should add them.5 points

Saw the doc today. He diagnosed stage 3 trigger finger in the ring finger of my left hand. Stage 3 is "needs help from other hand to open after making a fist". Stage 4 is "hello Captain Hook, can't open it at all". He gave me two choices for treatment. 1. Cortisone shot in hand right now in office. 2. Surgery in office. Option 1 has a 60% of lifetime cure and was my choice. Option 2 is a 100% chance of lifetime cure. I wait a month now and if it isn't better then we schedule option 2. The pain was not nice but not as bad as I was warned about. I can't feel half of my left hand right now till the Novocaine shot wears off. My fingers are not currently crossed.4 points

She is an amazing climber. Rock, mountains, ice. She told me she loves overhanging routes the most. She has tried to coax me into ice climbing. We were looking at places to retire. I found one with a big garage and she said climbing gym. So I have that to look forward to.4 points

Triplanes are where it is really at! Or wing walking. I am, despite not being a pilot, a skilled crop duster.4 points

If you’re @petitepedalthere is. She has a lot of short weeks, you ever notice that? (Say that in an Andy Rooney voice)4 points

I suspect she had her reasons, and good ones too. Mrs. TK had her reasons for marrying me. I admit I never summoned the courage to ask what those were, as I don't want to give her cause to reconsider them.4 points

I did 36 yesterday, longest ride in at least 6 months. Not sure my foot could do much more. For me 100 by September might be doable. 100 in 6 weeks, you're screwed.4 points

I can find myself in most of those Progressive commercials. Especially the ones where they show up with printed tickets at the airport and comment on the people who arrive late.3 points

Is it preventing you from sitting down? When @jsharr had this problem, he couldn't sit down. It wasn't until we told him to pull his thumb out, that he could sit again.3 points

It was. The dirt was pretty hard, but it did get a bit slick on top. After a few laps it would start to dry out again. Most dirt tracks water the surface before race time as part of the grooming. As they dry they become very dusty and the cars behave differently.3 points

Given that it had to stop twice for rain it was a very interesting race. If it had been on asphalt, it probably would have been rained out but dirt doesn't mind a little bit of water. As they say, racin is rubbin. Found money and all that.3 points

From the not wild sister. We originally planned to go out, but then found too many of the restaurants were doing mothers' day type sittings and limited menus, and we thought that would be too hectic. We didn't want to make my sister who usually hosts the holidays cook, so we agreed to do take out and I brought desserts - including a kringle, egg cakes, and bunny cookies.3 points

Sheeze! I spent $17,000 just on accountants to look after a 5 year audit dispute. I won! That 17K saved me 50K in tax penalties and I will use the 17K to reduce this years tax liability. Sometimes the tax gods do smile on you.3 points
