Want to see what a lunch looks like on my program? Beef stock I made from beef neck bones, 4 oz of picked neck meet, three leaves of Napa cabbage shredded like noodles, one shiitake mushroom, one stalk of celery, 1/4 onion & one bundle of bok choy. I drizzled sriracha on it. I had a two egg omelette with a handful of spinach, a slice of Swiss & a slice of ham for breakfast, 3.5 oz protein. 7.5 oz of protein so far, I’ll load up with dinner to hit 15 oz goal and lots of veg. And no bread, pasta, starchy vegetables. Feeling really good eating this way and my glucose is really down.11 points

The cup holders in our recliner console are shaped for tumblers or cans, not mugs. But we use mugs for tea and coffee while watching television. This flexible surface gives us a place to put a mug. Very handy. Available at Amazon, they’re listed for use on the arm of a sofa, but it works perfectly here on the console.9 points

Kazoo’s not a lawyer is he? Can’t help but wonder if this real life story is about him? A wealthy lawyer was riding in his limousine when he saw two women along the roadside eating grass. Disturbed, he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate. He asked one women, "Why are you eating grass?" "We don't have any money for food," the poor women replied. "We have to eat grass." "Well then, you can come with me to my house and I'll feed you," the lawyer said. "But sir, I have a husband and two children with me. They are over there, under that tree." "Bring them along," the lawyer replied. Turning to the other poor women he stated, "You come with us also." The second women, in a pitiful voice then said, "But sir, I also have a husband and SIX children with me!" "Bring them all, as well," the lawyer answered. They all entered the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limousine. Once underway, one of the poor fellows turned to the lawyer and said, "Sir, you are too kind. Thank you for taking all of us with you." The lawyer replied, "Glad to do it. You'll really love my place; the grass is almost a foot high!"8 points

That's what my company is paying out on our bonuses this year. Apparently it was another good year for them -- for us -- for me. The month of March in my home is always a good month and it just so happens this year, March is also a three paycheck month. It's like hitting the reset button and filling the pantry. So I got nothing to bitch about for the next couple months until all this wears off. Then I'll prep my resume and hope to mow lawns for Kazoo.7 points

Paula had her wedding dress made into baptism garments for grandkids, so I dont have that decision to make. It is not so much her clothes as her pictures that are around the house. That said, I am a long way from dating at this point.6 points

I noticed on Monday that today was completely clear, so I scheduled myself a sanity day. 2 hour MTB ride in our local foothills. Peter’s Canyon Reservoir, built in the early 1900’s for the orange groves down the hill which are now houses & the area is a county park. It was bone dry during the last drought.5 points

My company is currently doing the standard McKinsey end-stage-capitalism type of business planning. Essentially, trimming workforce, cutting pay/bonuses/incentives etc in an effort to provide those sweet sweet dividend checks to stockholders. No matter we had a 37% margin and 1.7 Billion in profits last year. Anyways, the sword of Damocles is dangling above my head. Yeah, I'm already in a small, critical team and the best contributor by far, but when it comes to Stock Bros making business decisions, who the fuck knows if my job is actually secure. I've started making steps to find another position. I've applied to positions that aren't lateral but step up career-wise. The market in Tech, especially in solutions/cloud architecture, is tight. I've applied to dozens of jobs and gotten back a merry collection of rejection letters. One thing I've noticed though is a new theme of companies asking not only for CV/cover letter and possible Github repo (which I can't use for obvious IP considerations), but is a personal site. More and more companies have that as an option. So I thought, what the hell. I stood up a fairly straightforward tech stack on my servers because of course I was going to self-host this, of blogging software. Implemented a mail service and spent a bit of time adding some content. Not crazy, a few posts and pages that covered, well, me. The site went "live" two days ago. I applied to 4 jobs since then and now I have two interviews. Maybe the site wasn't the leading contributor, but good marketing definitely gets people talking.5 points

3D printed a fitting for my Stans sealant syringe It took 4 attempts to get thread correct. It's an M6x0.75 thread, but the threads are akin to an ACME thread (more square than pointy). Anywho, threads on a valve stem easily. The current one that is on the syringe is fit tight and could be because its a softer plastic. But with access to Solidworks & 3D printer, why wouldn't I do this4 points

There’s a lot of butter in the crust. The peaches were in jars left behind by #1’s former roommate when she moved out. She was going to throw them away. They’re bland, so I added sugar, grated fresh ginger, cinnamon, lemon juice and zest, corn starch. I hope the filling sets up.4 points

I've started cleaning out some of my closets, but even when I donate/throw out a lot of stuff, there is still too much. I'm throwing out stuff where I have duplicates or that are clearly not something I'll wear, but I'm probably keeping too much "nice" stuff. I suspect once I've gone through a year and seen how little of the "nice" stuff I wear, I'll be able to cull even more.4 points

Irvine Regional Park. There is a concrete path that connects the two parks & I rode them both. Santiago Creek is flowing! I have only seen water in this creek a handful of times in my life! There is another lake behind the hill to the right of the image that has also been dry. It’s so full now they are releasing water into the creek to keep the lake from over flowing.3 points

I could clean out some of my clothes. I have not yet decided when I will clean out mrs_az_cyclist's clothes. Her friend (and our neighbor) had offered to help me whenever I want to do it.3 points

The raccoon is standing on our deck's railing. I moved the feeders out over the yard so it's going to be difficult to reach. I think that the raccoon(s) may be living under the deck. I will eventually move the camera down to where I think where they enter it.3 points
