So dearie's butcher cheffy son just won the grand prize for the category covering jerky and sausage. At the Royal Winter Fair...a major Toronto agricultural show. He made pork chili and fennel pollen jerky. His other entry...a chili pastrami placed a lot lower in the rankings. He competed over 10 other chefs. So son is going nuts now making jerky....'cause he's required to have 400 pieces for sale as part of the winning showcase. Methinks he's gonna pump up to 900 or more to sell at butcher shop. Maybe offer some via shop's new online ordering portal which dearie has been designing for son for past 3 months. Dearie is very proud. He's currently making up a graphic to announce this win for the shop to tweet out. Like all fathers know, he is a father forever.

Actually I'm quite disappointed with it. When he knocks stuff off the counter, he's supposed to look straight down at it like, "Wow, that fell straight down!" And then look back up with a "my mission here is complete" expression. And he's not playing with the string toy right; he's too violent, not playful enough. And he should have had the bird feather stuck on his face and just said "What?" Like nothing is wrong. It was a good idea, but clearly not done by people who truly know cats.

Can I get a pass since it was late Oct 31 and not November? This is the “parent tax”.

There’s a parade in DC that son and I will go to on Saturday. It will be nucking futz. But we haven’t had a baseball championship in over 90 years.

And it makes a dam good coster.

We played in Peoria last weekend. 14 top notch teams. Slugger complex was dope as promised. Played in the dome on Sat due to rain. Sunday battled all day. Only had 2 pitchers and 10 girls. 4 games back to back to back. Got the championship game and came up 2 runs shy to a really good team (that we beat by 1 on sat). We had runners on in the final inning just could not move them in for the win. Em pitched amazing. She has not played with the new team that much and I feel like she has yet to pitch to her potential with them. But she sure did on Sunday. Now I can't wait for spring!

Working a sales rally and the top salesman has a mariachi escort! I got to personally escort them into the boardroom and walk them around. One of the fun parts of my job and I’ll admit the young lady was easy on the eyes. The COO who I assisted during his medical emergency last week told the story of this guy being F’ing everywhere. Everywhere I go I see this guy watching over us.... So I’m boarding a plane in AZ, have a medical emergency & SOB who is kneeling at my side! He pulled me up and I got a nice standing O!

Why would anyone do that to open a beer? Darn near everything I buy anymore has a bottle opener integrated in it.... I even bought a pair of bike shorts a while back that came with a bottle opener. I don't know why anyone would need a bottle opener, Bud Light Orange is a twist off.

I remember being at the beach and this older dude on a beach cruiser was weaving between people with a drink in an open glass in his hand clearly inebriated. Guy crosses up his bars, dumps his bike, rolls off of it and ends up on his ass. But didn’t spill a drop!

Cocoa Beach

We saw big groups of kids during our walk with jack but none came to our house. Good thing too as we had no candy.

Downtown was crawling with little ones yesterday afternoon, as they visited the various businesses. Temperature in the high 30s and no snow made for a nice outing for the little ones and their parents.

I have rode some scary stuff, and I can not do that. Black diamonds, sure. There is a gap jump I am eyeing locally. It's small, and that is about my level of comfort. LOL Riding a narrow trail with decent consequence on the side is about as death defying as I get these days. Thank you, people. You did make me laugh.

We had twice the amount of kids then in the past despite getting 5 inches of snow. We ran out of candy a half hour before trick or treating ended. I was in good control....glucose levels when I checked was 146.
