  1. This guy is giving a presentation on the NASA NEEMO Project(NASA Extreme Environment Mission Ops) training they did in California. My son worked with him there and is currently working with him in Atlanta on another project. If I have not set it up right, about the 53 minute mark he gives a nice shout-out to my son. (Just pull the bar over, you don't need to wait for 53 minutes, because frankly it is not worth it. Lol

  7. I talk a lot. Have my whole life, and it says it on every report card I ever got. Being a "W" and kids seated alphabetically at the start of the year I was always seated in the back left corner. By Halloween I was moved to right in front of or beside the teachers desk. I was married to a teacher before I found out that was not because I was their favorite. I don't talk on rides....., if you have the wind to talk..., you are not going hard enough.

  9. Usually it's someone who stalks... quietly observing and sizing up their victims... never happy with the last one, always needing more. Ooooo, did I say that out loud?

  16. Romantic weekend getaway with BuffCarla, thank you for asking. Weather is supposed to be in the crapper so museums in the Northern Finger Lakes. There’s an It’s a Wonderful Life museum in Seneca Falls, and the Harriet Tubman house in Auburn. On Sunday there’s a mansion tour in Geneva, where we are staying, Seneca Lake. Sunday night we have reservations for dinner at the Belhurst Castle near Geneva. Monday the sun is supposed to come out, so might get some nice foliage for the trip home.

  17. Tonight going to visitation for the mom and MIL of some high school friends. Dementia sucks! Friday - date night. Haven’t been to Sin City for a while. Great food and they are good with protocols. Saturday - watch the Huskers face Minnesota then maybe a road trip to Scratchtown. They are releasing Bumble Buzz. They haven’t offered it in over 5 years. I remember it being quite good! Sunday I’m planning on a bike ride and maybe some housecleaning. Need to get rid of stuff that won’t make the trip when we are ready to move.

  18. Band gig Friday night! Finally! Mass Saturday Eve. Around that, level the slideout on the camper, prime a couple spots on the GTI, tear out most of the veggie garden, plant cover crop, prep for garlic planting, maybe more tornado cleanup. And put the front plate back on the GTI, it's due for inspection. That should be fun

  22. The unexpected failure mode can be a lot of fun. At Fleet Sonar School in Key West there was a challenge for the graduating class in what was the trickest system of the day (67). After months of being tested by the instructors on system repair the students were allowed to create a test problem for the instructors. The challenge of course involved a lot of beer and the promise that the instructors had never failed to find and repair the problem. After hours of testing the lead instructor declared that we were fucking with them and had not installed a problem to find. As he did this he slammed his hand down on the emergency off button. The system kept operating normally. They protested the call but lost. I had shorted the momentary open contacts that broke the power chain. You couldn't turn the system off with the off button.

  23. I didn't really have heros I guess, but when I was in high school I worked in the sheet metal/AC shop where my Dad was the VP of the company. I worked on sites dealing with customers and clients who had no idea who I was, and I got to listen to people talk about my Dad. I remember thinking "I don't know where life will lead me, but I know I want people to talk about me behind my back like they talk about my Dad" That is as close as I have to a hero.

  32. My last 2 years at P$W Aircraft I wrote algorithms for the PLC systems controlling the jet engine test cells. We were using the Square D "Symax" system and their company told us that it was to the best of their knowledge the largest PLC program in the country, even larger than those used on Detroit's auto assembly lines. I had recently achieved my degree as an engineer after years of working as a technician repairing similar systems. I had 5 other engineers working on the team in addition to myself. After a while they took to writing the code for the algorithms that I designed because they couldn't get the system to work properly. The biggest failing.........they usually failed to examine the "what if the action doesn't take place as designed" portions of the program. Simple things like assuming that button was off if not pushed on clouded their minds. I loved that stuff. They were the best two years of my life. I'm good at "what if it doesn't work the way you thought it would" stuff. Expect random failures and you will never be disappointed. Edit: When I was at Square D programming school as a student they offered me a job as an instructor.........

Short, blonde, (but straight, not curly hair) and man, does she have a mouth on her. (Her whatsapp avatar is a sign that says "I like pink sparkly things and the word fuck". She cracks me up
