I think - generally - anyone who is outside has that level of "awareness" of the wind.  Certainly, for ball sports, there can be some degree of impact (golf might be the worst), so it is a condition that affects their game.

Playing the wind in golf is great fun!  ‘Specially when you have to put it oot over the woods. :)

Uh you haven’t been to SoCal in winter?  Our trees are seriously confused… Some are blooming while others are dropping brown & red leaves…
