Longjohn ★ Posted January 5, 2017 Share #8 Posted January 5, 2017 They had Amish framing in the new house down the road. They are used to it. Not sure what the guys working on the inside of the house are doing, not many tracks in the snow out to the porta potty. It's setting right out by the road. team scooter Posted January 5, 2017 Share #9 Posted January 5, 2017 When we are snowmobiling in sub zero temps, we limit the amount of fluids we take in because they need to come out eventually.
Road Runner Posted January 5, 2017 Share #10 Posted January 5, 2017 Why is the port-a-potty tilted at a 23 degree angle?
jsharr ★ Posted January 5, 2017 Share #11 Posted January 5, 2017 Just now, Road Runner said: Why is the port-a-potty tilted at a 23 degree angle? Obviously it is on starboard tack in a pretty stiff breeze or it has way to much sail up for the wind conditions, or the crew is sitting to leeward, or it if has a retractable keel, the keel is partially up or a combination of those factors. Maybe @Wilbur knows.

JerrySTL ★ Posted January 5, 2017 Share #15 Posted January 5, 2017 Years ago I dated a gal in Kentucky who only had an outhouse. The trick is to let someone else go to the bathroom first so that the seat is warm.

Road Runner Posted January 5, 2017 Share #18 Posted January 5, 2017 I have never taken a dump in a port-a-potty. I would have to be in an explosive state before this could ever happen.

No. I don't go on bike rides that require me to defecate in strange or disgusting (port-a-potty) places.

Further Posted January 5, 2017 Share #27 Posted January 5, 2017 At the slag processing plant I worked at, a porta potty was the only option. When it was really cold out (think sub zero) we'd take a cutting torch in to warm the seat and provide some heat. Worked pretty good.

I'm sure it's possible, but the plastic won't conduct the heat away from the contact point as fast, so it will warm up faster. Care to try it out & let us know?
