Men with banjos who know how to use them

Most people today play "Scruggs style" aka "Three Finger Style" banjo.

I first learned with Pete Seeger's banjo book in the '60's but it wasn't much different than strumming a guitar.

Then I learned the three finger, with three metal finger picks, Scruggs style and it was a tremendously improved sound.

I got good with Cripple Creek, which is the first bluegrass banjo piece for many.

I never got advanced enough to anticipate fill-in notes - I began studying piano and concentrated on that.

But if you can do it, you can make almost any melody or cord progression sound as cool as the Beverly Hillbillies Theme, Foggy Mountain Breakdown, etc.
