Square Wheels Posted January 8, 2016 Share #4 Posted January 8, 2016 I suspect the meat itself is good, in moderation, it's all the hormones / pesticides that are part of the process that are bad for you. No, I will not do a search and post oodles of internet info here. To me, it's common sense that all of those chemicals are not good for you. And red me is not good for the cow - when it's on your plate at least.
Dirtyhip Posted January 8, 2016 Share #5 Posted January 8, 2016 I ate red meat the other night. I found organic grass fed steak in the closeout section at the grocery store. WOOOHOOOO! I nabbed that steak and cooked it up. $4 per person. My entire meal cost less than $5. Steak, a couple potatoes and frozen veggies. Who says you can't eat well on the cheap?

Page Turner Posted January 8, 2016 Share #7 Posted January 8, 2016 ...I just gradually stopped eating cow, and now that I have a local source for grass fed, non feed lotted/hormoned beef, I just never got the taste back, so I don't buy it. But a little of it every now and then is probably not the worst thing you can do to yourself. Were I you, Mr @Randomguy, I'd be more worried about my chronic tendency for self abuse and internet pornography.

BuffJim Posted January 8, 2016 Share #9 Posted January 8, 2016 While naturally red meat like Beef, Whale or Lamb is bad for you, there is an Indian dish that is very healthy. Chicken Tandoori, where it's chicken, but it comes out red after some mysterious process.

Dirtyhip Posted January 8, 2016 Share #12 Posted January 8, 2016 Is chicken healthy? Popular Post Road Runner Posted January 8, 2016 Popular Post Share #17 Posted January 8, 2016 Everybody is looking for the magic silver bullet that is going to make them live longer. The best way to have really good health is to select your parents very carefully. Good genes have been shown to be the most important factor in having a long and healthy life. Also, I recommend not riding your bike into stationary objects.
Dirtyhip Posted January 8, 2016 Share #18 Posted January 8, 2016 Grandpa on one side lived to 97, Grandma on the other side of the family lived to 76, Dad lived to 50. Father died young, because of drugs and alcohol.

The geometry (it has relatively steep angles) and the camera angle make it look like the head tube is bigger than it appears IRL. I think the ST is a 60 c-c. That seems to be my best size these years. I can still run a longer stem, but get it up about level with the saddle, so there are more usable bar hand positions without going to shallow drops. When I was interested in going as fast and as aero as possible, I was mostly riding 58's, with one or two 57's. Thanks for the "pretty", because I know you have fashion sense, a capacity I admire, but lack.

It might have been coral. It is one of my happier bikes, in spite of that saddle scar. The only one I can think of that might be more outrageous is the Faggin, with the fishnet body stocking.
