I just got yelled at by my son for holding the front door open to long while the furnace is running. I reminded him of the day when a kid lived in my house and would leave the door wide open in the winter and the refrigerator door, leave the lights on, running the air conditioner with the windows open. It's drifrent when someone else is paying the bills.7 points

My oldest grandson is 9 YO and might be too tall for it as it's rated 4-6 YO. The twins are 3 YO now and ride bikes with training wheels. They should be ready by this summer. The question is will I be ready to pull about 90 lbs? The next grandson, Eli, is 10 months old so it will be a while for him. My oldest daughter is pregnant so those the new baby and Eli should be able to ride together in about 4-5 years.7 points

You run for 9 miles. You do an hour of yoga. You post about it on a cycling website. That you manage and maintain for the inmates. I can't decide whether to admire your many talents, or consider you insane. Perhaps I'll just settle for admiring your insanity.5 points

Jumped it and had her follow me to Napa this morning. It was a bitch to change, half under the fender. Had to remove the air filter and assembly and the fuse box. Also had a shroud around it. Realeased the clips, yanked it out and it hit me I the face. Got the new battery in. Went to move my car, Yay me it was dead too3 points

I spent the day yesterday at two different ball fields for two different reasons. Our son's former HS team had their home opener yesterday with a double header and BBQ between games. I came towards the end of the 1st game to watch the action and then ended up at the grill and made about 150 burgers for players, parents and others. Their was a softball tournament going on so we had lots of hungry softball girls too! It was kinda sad in that after the 1st game the coach came out and was surprised to see me working the grill while the Booster President was working the concession stand. He said where the hell is the rest of the board? I shrugged & really didn't care, I love doing this shit and volunteered. Coach then goes to the front of the stands and says, I see no fewer than 10 parents sitting here while a former players parent and booster president are working their asses off for your sons. He shakes his head and walks away. And the 10 parents sat on their asses and still didn't help.... It was good to see the underclassmen now Varsity players and how much these guys have grown in the past year. Just about all of the boys came over to shake my hand and say hello. The younger brother of a kid my son has played ball with since they were 8 YO is now a Freshman and he came over and gave me a big bear hug. I just told him about freaking time you got here! The 4 YO pee wee that I remember is now a 5'10 and solid at 14. That was more than I expected and made my day. We then drove an hour to watch my son's college team play. He didn't get in yesterday but did pitch on Thursday. Gave up 3 hits and two earned runs, the first hits and runs allowed in 5 innings of work....3 points

He did not lose alot of weight and he did not need a physical, as he was not a contestant. He is a life long fitness enthusiast and has been one of the trainers on the show for over 15 years. That said, heart issues run in his family.2 points

I know right? I always smile and laugh at the poor suckers that have to chain up. But....yesterday that was me! I could have gone another mile or 2 and had somebody do it for me. There is almost always a guy with a sign out at the main chain up spot. But i'm too cheap to pay $20. And to make it worse I was following WoScrapr to make sure she was OK. She doesn't like driving the pass with snow.. And she just drove off! I was stuck there all by myself2 points

I can do 1, 3 and 4. Used to regularly play pickup games with an NBA 1st round draft pick. Height was probably my short coming. That and I stopped really playing organized basketball in Junior High due to being a better swimmer. Of course it's my parents fault I'm not retired. If they would've been independently wealthy instead of poor farmers, I would've been set.2 points

My audits are way less fun. Doing our annual report for the SEC. Turned in all the prep and field work last week, work on the legal crap and auditors notes this week. Sort of like getting a root canal with a gardening tool and your only pain killer is a hammer to the head.2 points

Sign-ups starts at 8 AM and the ride has filled up in one day a couple of times in the past. This will be my 7th year. If you are interested, here's the web site. https://mostateparks.com/2017ktride Speaking of the Katy Trail, on August 21st the total eclipse passes right over a lot of it. The totality will last over 2 minutes in places. I'm going to walk or ride on the Katy around Augusta, Missouri. I'll bring my lights as it will be dark quite a while before and after the totality. I've also ordered some solar eclipse glasses.2 points

Are you up yet? I took a 20 minute power nap cuddled up with Lindy. Ryan joined up and curled up on the floor right next to me. It was so sweet that I did not want to move. Tillie has other plans-- she wanted dinner.2 points
