  1. Each and every one, with quirks and opinions that I might not agree with. But we meet here and bitch and elucidate, and make asses of our selves, and make brilliant points of light, and we get wild, and we get pissed, and we fly, and we crash, but we are home here Thank you square weels

  3. Canadian federal Minister of Transportation is now requiring for air passengers ..to wear non-medical mask. Effective as of coming Monday. It was announced today. Otherwise in Canada, can't board onto plane. So I went on mask sewing frenzy. It's reversible...only because I wasn't going to spend hrs. digging a bin of fabric for lighter lining. It's fabric leftover from a never completed sewing project for a top ….I planned nearly 20 yrs. ago. So here's to wisteria and peonies chic. And it's abit too hot..heat wise. I will NOT be walking around with this mask nor plan to unless I have to. I'm just complying to air passenger law now. https://www.canada.ca/en/transport-canada/news/2020/04/new-measures-introduced-for-non-medical-masks-or-face-coverings-in-the-canadian-transportation-system.html

  4. I wasn't aware of this until today when wife told me. Andrew Lloyd Webber activated a YouTube channel (free subscription) "The Show Must Go On!" and each Friday releases for free one of his hits to help with the shut in boredom. Today at 4:00 EDT, and for next 48 hours, He released Phantom of the Opera. This was a later performance in the Royal Albert Hall. When I lived in England, I saw it live in Her Majesty's Theater with the original cast a couple months after it launched. It was a surprise for family visiting - let's have a night in London and catch a show on the West End. On tonight's performance they bring the original cast (including Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman) for an encore performance. I missed the last two weeks - Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Jesus Christ Superstar - but the others will be rotating in each of the next few Fridays. Each release is for 48 hours on demand only. Just something to be aware of and a little diversion from the usual.

  5. This will be the most you ever see of my messy office. To the left is a sheepskin on the chair, and the bottle animals always find this interesting, until they find it does not give milk.

  8. Yay, glad you liked it. I was afraid to mention it was coming because I wasn't sure how reliable this etsy seller was, especially with the sudden demand for facemasks. But when I saw it I immediately thought of you!

  10. I’ve been doing takeout from a local restaurant about once a week, and buying beer from my favorite local brewpub more often than I care to admit. Tipping as if I was dining in. I feel fortunate to be working through all of this.

  12. When we bring new lambs or kids into the house, we've noticed, when holding them on our laps, that they initially have a hard time maintaining their temperature. Your lap will go from hot to warm, as their temperatures varies. One does not notice this variation as they get older.

  26. I don't have netflix or any TV service so this is my only form of entertainment. @ChrisL I'm going to need more of these updates. If this were a tv show, what would we name it? I like how MIL said they not all crooks. Does they mean she acknowledges they are all pervs?

  27. I was hungry. Real hungry. My wife has been working her ass off. I broke down and ordered a pizza. It was a Hawaiian pizza. I had 5 slices. I'm pretty sure the weight I lost staying home these last 3 weeks was just put back on. I was determined to eat it. Not good for the heart disease folks. What can I say? I just broke down. And I was not disappointed. It was from Brunos and it was grubbin'. It was everything I was hoping it to be.

  29. Push ups & some core work, 2 mile run on the road. Then we walked Jack about 3 miles. I was thinking about going on a MTB ride but... Trails are open but parking lots are closed which would require a ride in/out plus the MTB ride. As I’m riding with the missus tomorrow figured I’d scrap the MTB ride & run. There is a trail head near work I can hit after work.

  37. It sucks so much I cannot even try to explain it. Among my students, I have 14 deaf-blind kids. Distance learning , ummm, not so useful. I was on a staTe call today about how we will do report cards for June. Really, the lunatics are running the asylum. How about we worry about keeping kids alive, fed, and their parents supported?

  39. At least around here they're talking about his week and next as being two of the high risk weeks. Unless it was a financial necessity, I would be wary of taking a job that involved working with other people (particularly since there is a wide range in how protective various employers are being). My answer might change in a couple weeks, but for now, I'd stay put.
